Give-away an iPod for Valentines Day! & other Valentine fun

Give away 40 iPod's for all the kids in your child's classroom this Valentine's Day!
Ok, it's not as bad as you think :) I found a great printable online that incorporates the candy, the card and the iPod printable all in one handy little gift...But, before we get to that...here are a couple other fun things to do to get ready for a fun Valentine's weekend...enjoy!
Yep! My kids made these!...and, they are yummy!

We have been having a BLAST at our house, getting ready for V-day. We have Valentine "art", valentine mailboxes and valentine cookies.

This is just half of the end product. You will have plenty to share.

FIRST & FOREMOST...THE COOKIES :)

The sugar cookie recipe is from Martha Stewart. Just as an FYI...these cookies are the HARD ones, so they can keep the shape. They were very easy to make and roll-out. And, as you can see...didn't bake into a blob! :) Here is the link to the recipe:

Martha used Royal Icing for the sugar cookies, but since I didn't have meringue powder...
Instead, I used a recipe from eHow.com, it turned out icing that stayed SHINY after it dried! I love it! (p.s. add a little salt to the icing. We used almond flavoring instead of vanilla, yum!)

I did the icing and the kids got crazy with the decorating! We had Licorice Laces, Cinnamon Candy Hearts and tons of sprinkles. It took us the entire morning...but, we had a blast doing it!

NEXT, THE DECOR!

Found these cute little foam mailboxes at Target for $5 a piece. They come plain and the kids decorate them (stuff included). It was easy for little hands to make, as well as being a great little family project. Love them...these will be coming out every year :)

And of course, the best "art" of all, a project that Bella made for me at preschool. She has dozens of cards and pictures in hiding for the BIG DAY!

THE VALENTINE CARD PROJECT...
Ok, I like to do different things, but I also can't do things that take forever...because my little ones just don't have the patience for it... yet! So, I found a project on one of my favorite sites, LivingLocurto.com and had to share it with you. It is a Sweetheart box of candy, wrapped in iPod paper - and it looks real! It couldn't be easier - and I can't tell you how excited my kids were to be giving away iPod's to all their friends!

Yep, this is Bella playing with her finished product!

And this is a pic of the kids at the end of a super fun day, getting ready for Valentines Day!

NEXT....
I think we are going to try this project this weekend, compliments of my friend, the photographer, RoJoPhotoDesign.com, who designed this Valentine bunting for his family this year.
