Family Fun Game: Spot It!

Our family loves games
+ my kids are total suckers for "marketing" that makes the lamest games seem like rip-roaring fun
= I have suffered through horribly boring or poorly-made games for long enough!!

This blog is all about making family memories and family fun time together. I wanted to share with you some great resources for family nights. First on the docket...family friendly games that don't make a parent crazy, as well as ensuring the kiddos are having fun. We also wanted to make sure these games appealed to a broad range of ages. I know this sounds like a steep order, but this game really has it all.

On a trip to Marbles recently, I found games that both my kids and I love. I hope through these blog posts about recommended games, you will also find some winners.
Don't know about Marbles? Let me put in a little promo - the salespeople teach you &/or your kids how to play any game they stock. They also have many of their games just sitting out for you to play. Great concept!

Spot It!

This game looks simple enough but it is fun for adults to play as well. It is an "I spy" concept, but what makes it challenging is that there is only one picture that matches from one card to the other. More times than I want to admit, my kids find the matching picture before I do. :)

How long did it take you to find the matches on examples above? ;)

There are several variations to this game that keeps it interesting. The price is reasonable at only $11.99 at Amazon. (If you have Amazon Prime, shipping is free. Whoo-hoo!) I love the company that designed these games, Blue Orange. I have several of their games, they are all well-made, with great concepts behind them. I guarantee you will love this game.

Awesome varieties of this game, Spot It! On the Road, as well as educational varieties such as Spot It! Alphabet, Spot It! Numbers & Shapes, and Spot It! Basic Spanish & Basic French. They all come in the signature circular tin for easy carrying and are about $12.00 a piece. These also make great gifts!

I hope this adds some fun to a family game night at your home soon!
